How can I download or backup my Glitch project?

You can download a compressed file of your entire Glitch project, fully preserved, from within the editor.

Download Project

To download your project:

1. Go to the lower left corner of the editor and click "Tools".
2. Click the "Git, Import and Export" button on the bottom of the menu.
3. Click the "Download Project" button at the bottom of the menu.
4. If your browser asks you to confirm or save, say ok.

The format of the project download is a Gzip compressed Tar archive with a .tgz extension, which can be opened with any file-archiving program such as WinZip or 7-zip.

When you unzip the file, you'll see an app folder that contains your project in the same structure that you'd see in the editor.

You can also export your project to GitHub. Click here to learn how!
